The Order of the Warrior Priest

The Order of the Warrior Priest

An ancient brotherhood of men called to radical discipleship through spiritual warfare, ascetic discipline, and priestly service to the King.

Declaration

This is not a club. This is not a Bible study. This is not a community group.

This is an Order.

The Name

ΝΗΨΙΣ

Nepsis

“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

1 Peter 5:8

In the tradition of the Desert Fathers, nepsis — watchfulness, spiritual sobriety — was the supreme discipline of the interior life. To be neptic is to stand guard over the heart, to intercept every thought before it takes root, to remain awake in spirit when the flesh would sleep. The ancient monks called it the guardian of the soul. We call it the foundation of everything.

The Call

What Is a Warrior Priest?

The Warrior

A man who wages war in the spirit daily. His battles consist of offensive maneuvers — advancing the Kingdom — and defensive maneuvers — holding the line against the enemy.

Gentle but deadly. Found in the midst of war, he must defend, protect, and lead the King's people at the expense of his own life.

The Priest

His priesthood consists of self-sacrifice, consecration, prayer, fasting, and ambassadorship of the King. He carries those he loves on his back.

Fully surrendered to Christ and His will. He dies to himself every day, every hour, every second — and rests on the back of Christ.

"He must wage war in the spirit daily. He carries those he loves on his back. He is on the back of Christ."

The Way

The Life of a Warrior Priest

Wage war in the spirit daily — offensive and defensive maneuvers

Die to yourself every day, every hour, every second

Carry those you love on your back — be on the back of Christ

Fully surrendered to Christ and His will — no reservations

Luke 14:28

Count the Cost

"For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?"

— Luke 14:28

This is what membership requires

Your phone

A dumb phone is required. No smartphone. No social media. No idle scrolling. The smartphone is not a tool — it is a leash, a slot machine, and a portal to the world's sewage. You will cut it.

Your comfort

Cold showers. Fasting. Physical training. The body is a weapon — you will sharpen it.

Your entertainment

Music, shows, games — fasted from regularly. You cannot be formed by the world and the Word simultaneously.

Your time

Morning and Evening Examen. Daily prayer. Weekly accountability. This is not optional — it is the Rule.

Your pride

You will be held accountable by brothers. You will confess your failures. You will be known — not performed.

Your independence

You are under the Rule of the Order. Not your own rule. Not your preferences. The Order's Rule.

Ninety days before the oath

You do not join — you are tested. Ninety consecutive days of the Rule before you take the oath and receive the signet ring.

"Many are called. Few are chosen."

— Matthew 22:14

The Order is not for every man who is interested. It is for the man who has counted the cost, accepted the terms, and is prepared to die to himself. If that man is you — petition below.

Questions

Frequently Asked

Is this for me?

Probably not. Most men who ask this question are looking for a community that will affirm them where they are. The Order does not do that. The Order calls you to become something you are not yet. If you are comfortable, stay comfortable. This is for the man who is desperate — not curious.

Do I need to be a mature Christian to join?

No. But you must be a serious one. The Order is not a place to begin your faith — it is a place to forge it. You must already be in Christ and willing to be broken and rebuilt.

Can I join if I'm married?

Yes. The Order is for laymen — men living in the world. St. Chrysostom was explicit: the married man and the monk are held to the same standard. Marriage is not an exemption from radical discipleship. It is a theater for it.

What if I fail the 90-day novitiate?

You begin again. There is no shame in falling — only in refusing to rise. The novitiate is not a test of perfection. It is a test of resolve. "For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again." — Proverbs 24:16

Is there a cost or fee?

No money. The cost is your life — your comfort, your time, your pride, your independence. If you were hoping for a subscription, this is not the Order for you.

How do I get invited?

You don't pursue the invitation — you pursue Christ, and the invitation finds you. You may petition below. A brother will reach out if the Lord wills it. There is no guarantee of a response.

What if I disagree with part of the Rule?

Then you are not ready. The Rule is not a buffet. You take it whole or you do not take it. A man who negotiates the terms of his surrender has not surrendered.

Via Salutis

The Steps to Salvation

The Gospel is not complicated. It has been made complicated by those who wished to avoid its demands. Here it is plainly.

I

Belief

Fides

Stake your entire existence on the person of Jesus Christ — who He is, what He has done, and what He demands.

II

Repentance

Metanoia

A complete change of mind, direction, and allegiance. Turn from sin with genuine hatred of it — not merely its consequences.

III

Obedience

Oboedientia

Obedience is the proof of belief. A man who claims to believe but lives in willful disobedience has not believed — he has merely agreed.

Request Consideration

The Order does not accept applications. If you believe you have been called, you may petition for consideration. A brother will reach out if the Lord wills it.
